In these times...
Hello everyone! We hope this past weekend has treated you well, despite the recent political turbulence that has enveloped the United States and the world.
Admittedly, it has been challenging to start a website and a new adventure at this whirlwind point in history. Everything seems very uncertain, and it's hard to feel safe or comfortable, even in our own communities. We are so excited for the experiences ahead of us, and yet we are concerned about the path ahead for the country and its people, and how much all of it could affect our journey. We have even had our doubts about sharing our experiences, as there are many more pivotal events happening than the cycling and farming adventures of a couple of misfits.
However, we must continue on our path, as we have been preparing for it for over a year now, and we won’t let political unrest get the best of us. We will also continue to share our journey in hopes that its positive nature will help others see an alternate perspective of the United States, one that isn’t often seen on TV or social media. We hope that our tour across this great land will reveal its beauty, its strength, and the inherent goodness of its people. We hope to illustrate American resilience through hardship, our unity in times of division, and our acceptance of others in spite of xenophobia. We believe that America's greatest strength lies in its communities, and we hope to get to know more of its communities better as we ride.
Now is the time to act, each in our own way, and we hope that you are inspired to act as well. If we take action together now, we can rebuild our country and work together to cultivate an American community that stands united.
